At least 60 drawings selected through a contest on Cuban poets' themes will be shown at the 19th Havana International Book Fair, said Director of the Russian "Firebird" Gallery Alevtina Zharova.

We will go to the Havana festival as part of the Russian official delegation, which we consider an honour, Zharova told Prensa Latina in her gallery, dedicated to promote literature-related paintings.

With these children's drawings under the theme "We Love You, Cuba," based on works by Cuban poets, including Nicolas Guillen, Jose Marti or Ramon Rubiera, we will carry the warmth in our hearts to the Island and our great love to Cuba and its people to prevent the flame of friendship from being extinguished.

We will also offer a notebook for children to colour in with children's drawings and poems to be presented to winners of contests we will organize during the festival, she announced.
