Dominguez is the Latin American chess player with the highest ELO, and is now sharing the places from 6th to 8th in this strong chess tournament, first Grand Slam of the year 2010, with 4.5 points and is one of the five undefeated players.
Seven ties and a victory versus Dutch Serguei Tiviakov in the 6th round give the Cuban player 5 to 6 points to place him at 2,712 points of ELO.
