Rene Baptiste, St Vincent and the Grenadines Urban Development, Culture, Labor and Elections Minister, praised the cultural exchange between her nation and Cuba during the 2010 budget discussion at the Vincentian Parliament.

The Minister added that this exchange will be expanded and strengthened in this new period, according to a press release from the Cuban Embassy in that East Caribbean nation.

Also, the Minister referred to the cultural activities organized by the Cuban Embassy on the occasion of Cuban Culture Day, in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the independence of St Vincent, when eleven Vincentian painters joined two Cuban artists, to celebrate this important anniversary.

The Minister added that the event was a success and allowed local artists to obtain additional space to promote national culture. She called on the newly opened Brazilian Embassy in the country, to also sponsor similar activities that will give support the Vincentian artists.
