Five Cuban Boxers Top the World Ranking

A Cuban quintet held leading positions in the newly updated ranking of the International Boxing Association (AIBA), which didn’t have any major changes from the one last September.
The AIBA website stated that the world champion Roniel Iglesias (64 kg) and number two at that level Osmay Acosta (91) are among those who ratified by their division’s supremacy.
Iglesias is noted particularly for his 3 350 points which make him the second highest accumulator after the Ukrainian world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (57), who accumulated 3 900.
Osmay is fourth in that regard, since he shows 3 000 units and trails world champ Italian Roberto Cammarelle (+91), whose accumulate is 3 400.
The other representatives of the island leading their categories are Olympic runner-ups Andry Laffita (51 / 2 150) and Yankiel Leon (54 / 2 700) and already retired bronze medalist Yordenis Ugás (60 / 1 950).
As seconds were confirmed Beijing’s silver medallist Carlos Banteur (69 / 2 300) and Emilio Correa (75 / 2 300), third Idel Torriente (60 / 1 888) and Yampier Hernandez (51 / 1 916) moved up to the fourth place.
The remaining occupants of the top positions were Chinese Zou Shiming (48 / 2 200), Kazakh Serik Sapiyev (69 / 2 338), the Indian Vijender (75 / 2 513) and Uzbek Elshod Rasulov (81 / 2 350).
