The centric Boulevard gallery is the new stage where the Cuban creator shows to the audience scenes from the series The garden of the virgin, Tattoos and Peacock.
Abel Igor Basulto Vázquez, director of the cultural center, explained to AIN that this exhibition, made up by around twenty materials, wasinaugurated on February six, with the presence of Zaida del Río, and it will be available to the public until the end of the month.
He added that the exhibition holds a high level and gives a high standard to this exhibition space, where other great personalities of visual arts have already shown their work, such as Nelson Domínguez, José Gómez Fresquet (Fremes), Agustín Bejarano and Sandor González.
This exhibition will be the first one by Zaida del Río in Cienfuegos, after an eight years absence, since she showed in this gallery her series Arab Passion, said Basulto Vázquez.
According to the digital magazine Opus, the painter, writer and designer tends to dilute the borders between the different visual arts techniques, an obvious characteristic on her imprint in metal work and pieces by important dress designers.
A graduate from the Higher Art Institute, Zaida del Río has taken her work to different national and international spaces, such as the Shimizu-Shizuoka gallery in Japan; Vía Larga in Florence and the Alcalá de Henares University in Spain.
