Cuba University Forum Tackles Crisis

According to the agenda of the forum, to develop in Havana until February 12, several of the 12 participating ministers will debate about university collaboration, faced with the challenges of the current international economic situation.
The event includes lectures on experiences in financing higher education centers in Argentina, Cuba and Spain, during an expert meeting about the issue.
They will also analyze the relation between internationalization of teaching and multilateral organizations, especially the UN Education, Science and Culture Organization.
The forum of guild and academic organizations has been also planned to be held in parallel to the event, at EXPOCUBA exhibition center, as well as the presentation of 2,000 papers in 13 workshops.
Representatives from Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador are among the main participants in the forum, according to a report by the organizers.
