Terry Theater was open for the first time on February 12, 1889 after two years of building with the financial support of a heritage left by a Venezuelan trader. The theater was named after him.
Omar Valino, play writer and vice-president of Union of Artists and Writers of Cuba, headed the jury.
Awards were given to television producers Gloria Torres, Omar George and Jorge Mari.
Gloria Torres was awarded by her work on an outlook of that city life, from her family links to music conservatory Jimenez brothers.
George was awarded by his multimedia Sceneshifter and Mari by his multimedia Seed to the history of a theater.
The theater will celebrate its anniversary with a concert of contemporary music.
Many international artists have presented in Terry Theater, Cultural Heritage of Humanity, such as Italian Enrico Caruso, French Sarah Bernhardt and play writer Jacinto Benavente`s company.
