Amaury Pérez Vidal is back to Cuban television with a special chat show called Con dos que se quieran.
Amaury organized back in 1996 a series of chat shows in a space named Muy personal, which had very good acceptance in the audience because of the amenity and openness of the interviews.
This new TV program is designed for about a year and a half. It will be a 45-minute show to be broadcasted on Saturday by Cubavision.
It should start on March 15th, after completion of the International Book Fair in Havana. The new TV show’s distinction is the coordination or alliance among three cultural agencies: Ministry of Culture, ICAIC (Cuban Institute on Cinematographic Arts and Industry), and Cuban Institute of Radio and Television.
Amaury thought he would never return to television with such a personal TV show, "but I'm very hopeful, very excited and I appreciate this new experience".
This is a cheap program. Nothing is preconceived. I had some subjects and I will build the interview on the way, always considering the answers. I seek the human side that excites and moves viewers. The program is made by the interviewee. I will honor them. We must catch viewers’ attention”.
Among the interviewee we should include: Tornatore, Miguel Barnet, Roberto Fabelo, Isabel Santos, Chucho Valdes, Zaida del Rio, Leo Brouwer, Juan Formell, Carlos Alfonso, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Nancy Morejón, Carlos Acosta jr. from Royal Ballet of London, even a South African Nobel Prize in Literature. "We have many personalities. It is dedicated to culture," he said.
