It is all about active tourism which allows travelers to have a more personalized way to spend vacations, where the sea has a special protagonism, above all now during the contest of undersea photography PHOTOSUB Colony 2010, developed from 15-20 February.
This meeting has a start each money for 40 experts of seven nations, the Siguanea marina, little over one mile from Colony Hotel where participants are accommodated and at the dock where there is an International Diving Center.
Director of the nautical center, Jose Ramon Larralde is a personality in the sector: he was a diver since 1972, five years later he entered the world of undersea images and contemplative immersions.
He now recalls some data of this facility which is very warmly welcomed by visitors from Germany, Italy, Brazil, Mexico and Spain, many of them repeaters who keep this dock busy the year through.
The facility has six floating docks and a peer for about nine ships, besides satisfying needs as a compressor for compressed air tanks and a group of experts.
The International Diving Center (CIB, in Spanish) with a staff of 19, including Larralde and seven diving instructors, four patrons and other specialists who operate in two ships mainly, the Neptune and the Gonzalez Lines.
Besides that, he is now head of the assisting divers team (Staff Diving) of PHOTOSUB for his experience and every he checks out the conditions and organization of the departure to Punta Frances, area of competition that is an hour away of navigation.
This port also receives navigators from different nations that put in at a port in their trips throughout the world and require a rest and supplies.
