The main objective of the Cuban delegation participating in the Vakantiebeurs Tourism Fair of Utrecht, Holland, is to promote the natural beauties, cultural and historical richness, and heritage of Cuba as a tourist destination.
From Tuesday until Sunday, the event, one of the most important of its kind in Europe, will gather tour operators and representatives from travel agencies, airlines, hotel chains, cruiser companies, specialized press and other professionals from the branch.
Representatives from the travel agencies Cubatur, Cubanacán, and Gaviota Tours; and the hotel chains Gran Caribe, Iberostar and Sol-Melia, made up the group of Cuban exhibitors at the Fair.
Last year, Cuba participated as Guest of Honor in “Vakantiebeurs 2009” and its presence has great repercussion in the Dutch media.
The number of travelers from Holland to Cuba has increased. At present, that nation is among the first 15 countries sending the largest amount of vacationers to the Caribbean island.
