   The Santiago Álvarez Office from the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinema presented the project named Primavera Documentaries. Project which aims to promote artistic aptitudes towards that genre on children and youngsters of the community.

Nowadays, more than 10 children receive classes which make possible developing their artistic talent and waken their interests in arts.

The members of the project are children from three primary schools and a high-school from San Pedrito neighborhood.

Lázara Herrera, director of the entity, told Sierra Maestra that the idea is directed to the continuation of that audiovisual genre that represents life itself and it regularly competes in disadvantages with the fiction cinema.

Regarding the XI International Documentaries Festivals Santiago Álvarez In Memoriam, foreseen to be celebrated from next 8 to march 13, on which is known that in the closure will be revealed the first result of the audiovisual project.

Will also be competing in this program countries like Peru, Brazil, Germany, Venezuela, Spain, as well as the International Cinema and Television School from San Antonio de los Baños and in the informative poster will be possible to enjoy some documentaries from Argentina, United States, Colombia among others.
