The Cuban National School of Public Health (ENSAP) granted Revolution leader Fidel Castro the decoration for the 80th anniversary of that institution.
The revolutionary leader was decorated, due to his exceptional contributions to develop the Cuban society, and foster and consolidate the health system in his national and international scope, Granma newspaper reported.
The high-level decoration was received by Public Health Minister Jose Ramon Balaguer on behalf of Fidel Castro, from ENSAP PhD Doctor Pastor Castell-Florit, during the closing ceremony of that academic instituiton's Scientific Campaign.
" If there is something to say about Public Health development, is that it has been the result of Fidel's conceptions, principles and ideas," Balaguer stated.
