Cuba: ALBA Prize for Critic and Art Theory

The bases of the competition, sponsored by the Cultural Foundation of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America and the Wilfredo Lam Center of Contemporary Art is open to authors born in the continent regardless of place of residence.
Subjects of the competition are unpublished investigations on different themes of current art in the region, geopolitical shaping, inter cultural processes "and scenarios that confront globalization with construction of new identities."
The competing papers will have a maximum of 200 and 250 pages with five copies and a one page biography of the author.
According to the bases they should be sent before May 30 to the Wilfredo Lam Center of Contemporary Art, Habana Vieja or to the following email: [email protected].
The jury formed by academics and specialists of renown will grant the Grand Prize that is publication of the awarded study and 10,000 dollars and the three mentions will receive 3,000 dollars for the first and 1,500 dollars for the remaining two.
The decision of the jury is not open to appeal.
