The parties agreed to create a virtual facility to develop information technology as an effective method of technology transference, according to remarks made by Russian Deputy Minister for Communications and Mass Media Dmitry Severov who's on a working visit in Havana.
He have drafted agreements in the volumes and terms of interest to Cuba and Russia, added Severov at the end of the Third Meeting of the Working Group of Information Technology and Communications as part of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee.
Cuban Deputy Minister of Information Technology and Communications Alberto Rodriguez noted that the Group has grown stronger in the purpose to contribute to progress and benefits for their respective peoples.
During the meeting, Moscow and Havana experts discussed other proposals regarding telecommunications, the radioelectric spectrum, information technologies and professional training, according to Cuban sources.
Severov's agenda, scheduled to conclude on Saturday, also included meetings with Vice Presidents Ramiro Valdes (also Minister of Information Technology and Communications) and Ricardo Cabrisas.
