The technological and human development achieved by the Center of Environmental Engineering of Camagüey (CIAC) to solve environmental problems eight years after its foundation confirms the rightness of such decision.

Many have been the projects faced by the staff, dealing with the local nuclear program, through the net of environmental analysis labs that yielded the model for the integrated management of sewage water in the industries of the territory.

The program is also made of a system of environmental indicators to enhance the management of technological risks by the action of municipal governments.

It is also a major task of the center to provide its clients with the necessary tools to select the most viable choices to achieve clean productions and services within the local scenario.

The wide range of its functions include the rating of environmental pollution, the characterization and evaluation of underwater as well as the achieving of new varieties of sugar cane through modern gamma techniques.

According to the information provided by marketing specialists from the center, they have also created a program to implement a power management system through the net of science centers in Camagüey.

Meanwhile rich countries do little to avoid the causes of global heating and its terrible consequences to the environment; Cuba aims to ease life conditions to the inhabitants of this part of the planet.
