Cuban Judo World Champion Driulis González will announce her retirement this Sunday at the opening of the National Judo Championships in her home province of Guantanamo.

Driulis González has won medals in four Olympic Games and seven World Championships in three different weight categories (56, 57 and 63 kilograms) and is considered the second greatest female judoka of all times after Ryoko Tamura of Japan who won two Olympic gold medals and seven world championships.

The 36-year-old announced that she will continue to work as a coach.
