What was a possibility months ago now has become reality because the International Softball Federation has announced that international umpire Raul Garrido Camilo Holguin, has been selected to participate in the twelfth Women's World Championship of the sport, in Caracas, Venezuela, from next June 23 to July 3.

Thus the prestigious Raul Camilo Garrido became the second all-time Cuban involved in a World Cup of this discipline, a reality that increases the value of their presence in Caracas.

For the world championship, umpires from Argentina, Canada, New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Colombia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Italy, Croatia and Venezuela were chosen.
