The Spanish Ballet of Cuba celebrates its 23rd anniversary

The Ballet Español de Cuba (Spanish Ballet of Cuba) has its headquarters since its creation in 1987 at the Havana Gran Teatro.
The company has received several recognitions and has over 60 plays in their repertoire, among them it is worth mentioning Sonata y Fandango, La Vida Breve, La Bella Durmiente, Aquel Brujo Amor, La Casa Alba, Carmen, La Habana Valdez, El Fantasma, Clásico Embrujo Español, Danzando Sueños and Frida.
On this occasion and as part of the program for their anniversary and of the 22nd edition of the Festival La Huella de España (Mark of Spain) to be held from the 18 and until the 25 of April, which this year will be dedicated to Catalonia, the company will go on stage of the Garcia Lorca hall with three different functions.
On Sunday the 18 of April, at 9 pm, the company will present at the opening ceremony, under the general direction of Eduardo Veitia, first dancer and choreographer, the ballet Las Bodas by Luis Alonso.
On Saturday the 24 at 8:30 pm, will be the gala of the Spanish Ballet of Cuba with the presentation on stage of Éxitos del Ballet Español (Successes of the Spanish Ballet).
On Sunday the 25 at 5pm, will presented during the closing ceremony, the play Suite de Lecuona with the choreographies Andalucía, Gitanería and Malagueña, interpreted by the pianist and dancer of the company, Daniel Martínez and with the special participation of the soprano Johanna Simón.
