Travelers will have to pay $50 for medical insurance coverage upon entering Cuba, beginning May 1, according to an item in the El Duende (The Goblin) column of the e-zine Radio-Miami.

The publication is directed by Max Lesnik, a man with good access to official Cuban sources.The item does not say how much insurance the $50 will buy or for how long.

A look at the Cuban travel portal and to the Tourism Ministry website provided no additional information. I'm trying to find out more details.
