Cubans ready to hold partiall elections sucessfully

Camagüey, Officials of the Provincial Electoral Commission in the Cuban province of Camagüey said that details on the partial elections are ready so that the suffrage can be held successfully and the people can massively exercise their constitutional right: voting.
The largest grass-root organization in Cuba, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) lads other Revolutionary organizations in gearing up this democratic process, in which the student pioneers will also play a significant role watching over the ballot boxes.
More than half a million people are listed in the electoral rolls, and in each electoral district they are willing to vote the more suitable candidate to occupy a seat at the municipal assembly of the People’s Power.
The election should be based on the candidates’ merits, capacity and commitment with the people that nominated them.
One week ago a test run of this partial elections was carried out across the island nation, officials informed then that Cuba is ready to hold the partial elections this Sunday.
The electoral authorities verified that the work is well coordinated, that the entities participating in the suffrage are well connected and the information moves smoothly among them.
In this regard they praised the work of Cuba’s telephone company ETECSA, which has made a brilliant deployment of its means and staff.
More than 100 radio hams have joined the campaign seeking that the majority of the Cubans, aged 16 or older, and particularly the residents in the eastern province of Camagüey can exercise their right to vote the best candidate.
