Cuban VP Opens International Tourism Fair in Havana

Tourism Vice-Minister María Elena López praised on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this Fair the work of those committed to develop this industry both domestically and abroad.
Lopez highlighted the potential of the Russian market, the country this event is dedicated to, and the relations between the Cuban and Russian peoples.
The official said Cuba is developing a sustainable tourism that mixes the Cuban natural and cultural riches with the hospitality of a people with high human values in an environment of safety and peace.
During the opening day, the Autentica Cuba (Authentic Cuba) campaign was launched with the presentation of a cultural show that combined the Cuban traditional music and dance.
The ceremony was attended by Cuban Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero accompanied by the Regional representative for the Americas of the World Tourism Organization and the Russian Tourism Federal Agency Alexander Radkov.
FITCUBA 2010 will continue this Tuesday will a lecture of Cuban tourism and the launching of a catalogue on Eastern Cuba, the region this Fair is dedicated to.
