A group of tour operators from different countries learned about the culture, history, traditions and the tourism product of this city during a familiarization tour of the Eastern Cuba, Cuban National Information Agency reported.

The tour is accompanied for the sound of the Chinese cornet to continue its course in the footsteps while enjoying a walk for the heritage and architectural values of the city with nearly 495 years of existence.

Symbolic places can be appreciated in Santiago de Cuba such as; Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, which is National Monument, El Cobre town where is the sanctuary of Virgin of Charity, patron of Cuba, the Barrita del Ron (the rum little bar) and the Don Pancho Bodega (Don Panchoâ?Ös cellar).

One of the main attractions is the Casa de la Trova Pepe Sanchez (Folk song house) where the guitars sound every day and night.

The Marlin marine, a walk along the bay and a lunch with marine species in the restaurant El Cayo is part of the program of the tour operators, travel agencies and managers of tourism in Cuba.

Tomorrow is expected the arrival more than a hundred journalists who covered this sector in different countries.

Santiago de Cuba has about 700 thousand rooms in city hotels and beaches and other offers like restaurants, cafeterias, night clubs and different trips in the form of ecotourism.
