Children and young people will have a notable presence at the 16th International Festival Cubadisco 2010, which is being held between the 15 and the 23 of this month in several stages of the capital city and dedicated to the country music and to the improvisers of the world.

Part of that participation will be the Guatecazo Infantil Latinoamericano (Latin American Children Guatecazo), leaded by the children theater group La Colmenita, directed by Carlos Alberto Cremata Malberti.

This event will be held on Saturday the 22 of May at 5pm, at the Karl Marx theater, with the performance of children from several countries, together with the Cubans.

Children who take part in this Cubadisco are, mostly, from the Improvisation Schools. They assure the continuity of the traditional genre, basically of the country traditions, but which nowadays is widely accepted also in the cities.

During the pass of the Canturía por la Patria (Song for the country), through the province of Havana, both in Artemisa and in Güines, it was possible to enjoy some of them in action, where they showed their attitudes.

In Güines, where it is located the Havana Branco of the Iberian American Centre of Decima, were also present the children and young people of the territory who continue the legacy of important figures, such as Angelito Valiente, Jesús Orta Ruiz, El Indio Naborí, Justo Vega, Adolfo Alfonso and among the young ones of Luis Paz, Alexis Díaz Pimienta, Jesucito y Omar and Emiliano Sardiñas, among many others.

During the Cubadisco will be make public the winners of the National Competition of Children drawings, La música campesina y los niños (Country music and children).
