In an emotional ceremony held last night at the Autonomous University of Bogotá organized by groups of solidarity with Cuba, Cordova noted the resistance of the people and government of the island facing new threats launched from Washington and right-wing centers of power.
Whatever happens to Cuba is happening to others as well. The Caribbean nation is a symbol, the flag of freedom for the peoples of Latin America and the world, she said.
The senator warned that the right in the continent is gathering and organizing against the changes, hopes and aspirations of the people, for what she called to close ranks to defend the revolutionary process of the island, such as humanism," she stated.
If they dare to threaten Cuba, we Colombians will be there to defend the island, she said.
