Havana.- Cuba's tourism industry is promoting weddings as its latest option, and reported 300 wedding ceremonies last year.
According to sources from the Ministry of Justice, some tour operators are offering that kind of service, so they have signed agreements with the ministry.
The notary in charge of certifying the marriage must ask for the necessary documents established by Cuban law.
Cuban juridical authorities have set the tariffs, which range from 300 to 400 dollars for the service, including an official certificate.
However, the document must be legalized at the consulate of the country of origin of the newlywed to be official outside Cuba.
