Botswana's President Arrives in Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, June 7 (acn) Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama,President of the Republic of Botswana, arrived in Havana on Monday for an official visit.
The African leader was received by Cuba's Foreign Affairs Vice-Minister Marco Rodriguez Costa at the Jose Marti International Airport.
He begins this Monday a programme that includes the laying of a floral wreath at the Cuban National Hero Jose Marti's bust, to later be received by Cuban President Raul Castro.
The Bostwana President is the son of the first president that African country had, Seretse Khama, who died in 1980.
Khama Ian Khama took office in February 2009, after then-president Festus Mogae resigned and that same October he was ratified in his post through an election.
