ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (AP) — BP is under a weekend deadline from the Coast Guard to ramp up its efforts to contain the oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico.

The Coast Guard complained about BP's slow pace in a letter to the company. The company says it will respond by Sunday night. President Barack Obama heads back to the Gulf tomorrow.
