Cuba topic at World Affairs Council
Jonathan Showe, author of "Cuba Rising: An American Insider's Perspective" is scheduled to discuss Cuban society and politics June 30 at a World Affairs Council luncheon in Carmel Valley.
Showe, a Carmel Valley resident, is an international business consultant and has traveled to Cuba more than 70 times.
The luncheon is set for Rancho Canada Golf Club, 4860 Carmel Valley Road and costs $25 for council members and $30 for nonmembers. Registration is 11:30 a.m., lunch is at noon and the free presentation at 12:50 p.m.
The deadline for reservations is June 25. Reservation forms are available on the council website at www.wacmb.org.
