With a forum in the Federal District, the Autentica Cuba promotional tourism caravan that presented the diverse tourist products of the Caribbean island, concluded its tour in Mexico.
Touroperators, executives and specialists of travel agencies, airlines and other entities specialized in the tourism industry participated in the event in which inauguration the Ambassador of the Caribbean nation, Miguel Aguilera de la Paz, was present.
Monterrey and Guadalajara were also scenarios of this new campaign, promising because the Mexican tourism goes recovering after the 2009 economic crisis of 2009, told Gerardo Treviño, (AsTours) a man belonging to a firm with 15 years in the administration of trips toward the island.
"We are optimistic, Cuba is a very noble destination; enjoys recognition for their natural beauties, the kindness and the affection of the Cuban people," he said.
A similar presage was exposed by an official of Tipstravel, Jaime Lozano; since on next July 17, his company will fulfill 20 years of work with the island and many of its clients repeat the experience.
"That opens us more opportunities; now, we are promoting the visits to several Cuban provinces; those who have already met Havana or Varadero want to discover other attractions and Cuba has charms in many territories associated to its nature, patrimonial cities and historical places," he stated.
For OceanCard their bonds with the Mexican tourism toward the island are quite promising; among their services, they includes the debit cards, a very comfortable alternative for travelers, said Elizabeth Mayan, a worker in the attention area.
Twenty years ago, Cuba received 340,000 tourists and in the last six consecutive years the annual balance overcomes the two million, coming from around 70 countries, as confirmed by official data.
Cuban current hotel payroll counts on around 50,000 rooms, 65 percent of them with four five-star hotels.
