Traveling protest of embargo on Cuba to stop in Sioux Falls

Pastors for Peace will host an event supporting the 21st Friendshipment Caravan to Cuba on July 8 in McKennan Park.
The group protests the United States’ embargo against Cuba. It is on a tour sharing its views and collecting construction supplies and tools, medical supplies and equipment, educational and cultural supplies, to be donated to people in Cuba.
The Sioux Falls event will be at 6 p.m. in the park’s shelter at 26th Street and Second Avenue.
There will be food and educational events. Donation will be accepted help support the Caravan going. All are welcome to bring a dessert or refreshment.
Lisa Valanti, who has traveled to Cuba with every Pastors for Peace Caravan over the past 20 years, will speak at this year’s event.
