Cuban Ambassador to UK Visits Northern Ireland

Rene Mujica Cantel, Ambassador of Cuba in Britain, visited the city of Belfast,Northern Ireland's capital, where he discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two parties.
Accompanied by the First Secretary Sivia Blanca, both diplomats were received at the Palace of Stormont, the seat of regional government and the Northern Ireland Assembly, where they held a cordial meeting with Peter Robinson, Prime Minister of the autonomous region.
They also talked separately with Minister Gerry Kelly and William Hay, Speaker of the Assembly, and held meetings with a group of deputies from different parties and officials of the Northern Ireland Executive.
The Cuban ambassador and the first secretary of the embassy also held a friendly meeting with Gerry Adams, Sinn Fein party chairman, indicates a note published in the www.cubaminrex.cu. digital page.
During these contacts, the Cuban diplomats received extensive information on the progress of the political process in Northern Ireland and the issues arising from the peace negotiations in that British autonomous area.
