Cuban cabaret Tropicana show in Mexico

A promotional performance about the Tropicana cabaret, the biggest in Cuba, is having several presentations in southeast Mexico, due to the growing interest in the artistic options of the island.
The director of the Cuban Tourist Office in Mexico, Alicia Pérez Casanova, indicated that the audiovisual material will be exhibited in several areas of Campeche and Tabasco and in the city of Merida, capital of the State of Yucatan.
Tropicana, known in the world as "un paraíso bajo las estrellas" (Paradise under the stars), has an international prestige due to the professional quality of its proposals.
Legendary figures of the Cuban culture, such as Rita Montaner and Rosa Fornés are linked to the history of the installation, which is arriving this year to its 70 anniversary, as well as international figures such as Nat King Cole, Carmen Miranda and Josephine Baker.
This exchange with the Mexican public follows the caravan Auténtica Cuba (Authentic Cuba) that traveled through important cities of the country, to widen the information about the offers of the so called chimney less industry in the biggest Island of the Caribbean, in a dialogue with the tour operators, executives of travel agencies and hotel chains.
The current hotel capacity of the island has about 50 thousand rooms, 65% of them with the category of four and five stars.
