David and Ernesto Blanco will be offering a concert at the steps of the University of Havana on July 2 in salute to the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students to take place in South Africa in December.
The concert will also be the closing ceremony for the Books’ Night, a literary event that will be taking libraries and literary circles to the parks and squares of Vedado in downtown Havana.
The popular pop-rock artists will be playing songs from David´s discs, including his most recent record, La Evolucion, which was launched at the Karl Marx Theater.
His brother Ernesto will be singing songs of his first disc, Kilometro cero, which deserved a 2010 Cubadisco Award.
On Sunday, they will be playing at the opening ceremony of the Arte en la Rampa arts and crafts fair.
