Havana, Cuba - The final day of competition in Cuba at the Caribbean Island Swimming Championships ended with  The Bahamas in 3rd position behind Trinidad and Cuba.

We collected 5 more individual medals and 2 more relay medals for a grand total of 31 individual medals (9 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze) and 8 relay medals (3 gold and 5 bronze).

Teisha Lightbourne (female 18&over) got her third medal of the meet - a bronze in the 100 freestyle in a time of 1:00.90.

Joining her, also with a bronze, in the female 15-17 age group was Ashley Butler in a time of 1:00.53.

In the 200 breast we again saw two medal winners. Alicia Lightbourne (female 18&over) captured another  silver medal in a time of 2:48.71. Michael McIntosh (male 18&over) added a bronze to his collection - with a time of 2:34.12.

The final individual medal winner of the Championships was Laura Morley (female 13-14) with a time of 2:33.96 in the 200 Individual Medley which earned her a silver medal to add to her golds.

The 4 x 100 free relays were exciting and productive. The 18&over females (Ariel Weech, Alicia Lightbourne, Teisha Lightbourne & Jenna Chaplin) claimed gold in a time of 4:02.51.
