Cuba will chair Regional Audit Organization

Havana, Cuba, Jul 9.- Cuba was elected to chair the Organization of Central American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OCACEFS) during a meeting on this topic underway in Guatemala.
Cuba’s Vice President and General Comptroller Gladys Bejerano heads the island’s delegation to the Ordinary General Assembly of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS) that is taking place in the Guatemalan city of Antigua and which was inaugurated on Tuesday with the presence of Guatemalan president Alvaro Colom.
The first session of the event was chaired by the Cuban official who spoke about the hierarchization of the State’s comptrolling role.
In September, Cuba will host the first meeting of female comptrollers. (ACN)
