Cuba gave a KO to the Czech Republic with a score of 16X1 and became the first qualified to the second round of the IBAF World Junior Baseball Championship underway in Thunder Bay, Canada.
Cuba took over the game from the very first inning to score five runs, thanks to two doubles by Yamil Rivalta and Dariel Crespo, and a triple battled William Avilés, combined with the first of six errors of the Czechs.
Cuba is resting on Monday but will face South Korea on Tuesday, winner of the last two editions of these events for players under 18.
