Mon, 16 Aug 2010. There is much to see and do once visitors have checked into their accommodation in Cuba - but the key to a wonderful getaway is just being there.

This is according to Edith Brin, whose recent article published on Cuba Headlines discussed the beauty and historic wonder of Havana.

On a tour to Cuba, she said the professor leading the trip was eager for the group to experience the "real" nature of the country.

"In his mind, there are no must-see sights in Havana ... He knows we'll find the grand architecture, the joyous music, the friendly people - everywhere," Ms Brin added.

However, she noted that certain highlights of the tour to Cuba included a trip to the Gran Teatro de la Habana to see the national ballet, as well as seeing the work of local artists first hand.

Holidays to Cuba, of course, do not necessarily have to be limited to Havana. Varadero is a popular resort for numerous visitors and is known for crystal-clear waters as well as beautiful beaches.
