Democratic Senate candidate Jeff Greene has completely changed his stance on the Cuba embargo in the last month, earning him a “full-flop” rating from PolitiFact Florida. Meanwhile his opponent, Kendrick Meek, made a false claim about a mosque being located in the Pentagon.

During an Aug. 1 debate, Greene said he supported the U.S. embargo of Cuba. But by the Aug. 15 debate, he’d changed his mind.

"I have thought about this a lot, you know, the past few weeks and I’m really beginning to rethink my own opinion on that," he said. "I’m thinking now we have to take a close look at opening travel to Cuba, and the trade embargo."

He reiterated that stand in subsequent interviews, garnering the "full-flop" designation.

This isn’t the first time Greene has answered questions about Cuba. He earned another “full-flop” for his changing stories about how he and his yacht ended up traveling to Cuba.

In another sensitive issue, Greene came out in opposition to the mosque being planned near the site of the World Trade Center attacks.

Greene’s rival, Rep. Kendrick Meek, said during a debate he was not going to interfere with New York’s decision, and said there was a mosque inside another 9/11 target, the Pentagon.

PolitiFact Florida found that there’s a place of worship in the Pentagon used by people of many faiths, but no mosque.
