The Airport Administration and Auxiliary Services for Air Navigation (AASANA) informed that 76 percent of Bolivian airports continue closed due to dense smoke as the result of forest fires.

Roberto Catacora, member of the AASANA Meteorology Department, said that the nine departments of the country have difficulties with visibility for air traffic.

According to the officer, in 29 of the 38 airports these difficulties continued on Monday morning.

He said that one of the most critical airports is that of Trinidad in Beni department, which only has 800 meters of visibility.
