Intercirco-Circuba 2010 is an excellent proposal of the Cuban National Circus that now begins a long tour through thirteen Cuban cities, from September 17 through October 24. The show gathers winning numbers of the ninth edition of International Summer Circuba 2010 and that have achieved a convincing success throughout August in the capital. They will also include numbers by foreign artists from Mexico and Venezuela
“Heredia” Theater, located in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, over 900 km east of Havana, will open the tour next Friday, September 17, at 9:00 pm, with a gala that will bring together some 40 artists until Sunday 19.
Later, they will arrive in Granma Province with presentations at Manzanillo Theater (Oct.21 and 22), as well as at Bayamo Theater (Sept.24-26). In Las Tunas, they will perform at “Iremú” Theater, located in the city of Puerto Padre on September 29, at Manatí movie-theater on September 30, and will close their presentations from October 1-3 at the “Leonardo Mckenzie” Polyvalent Hall ), in the capital city of that eastern province, and a matinee at “Tunas” Theater, on Sunday 3.
Starting October 6, they will be in the central region of the country with shows in Fomento and at Yayabo Multi-Sports Center (Oct. 7, 8 and 9), in Sancti Spíritus Province. Afterwards, they will show up in Cienfuegos with presentations at “Ferry” Theater, in the capital city of that province (Oct. 11 and 12) and at the headquarters of the Elementos theater group, Cumanayagua (Oct. 13). In Villa Clara, they are scheduled to perform at “Amistad” Polyvalent Hall, in Santa Clara (Oct. 15, 16 and 17) and a children’s party with clown Pepitín, at the Camilo Cienfuegos Theater (Oct. 16 and 17). From October 20 to 22, they will travel to “Cárdenas” movie-theater, in that city located in Matanzas Province.
The tour will close on October 23 and 24 at the Amphitheater of Varadero. For further information you can register at: [email protected] or [email protected]
These tours of the CNC began again in 2009, after several years of absence from the stages. Now they have been well accepted again throughout the months of September and October every year.
Tightrope walkers, jugglers, clowns, magicians, among other circus attractions, will flood thirteen Cuban cities throughout September and October in the final days of the summer and the beginning of autumn, days that will delight adults and children with an art of long history that constantly renews.
