Football Promotion Tournament to Begin in October

The first round of the national Football Promotion Tournament at a higher category was postponed from October 12th to the 24th in Sancti Spiritus city for adjustments in the fourth quarter competitive calendar looking to ensure a high quality event, said the INDER’s Sports Programming.

The second stage will be played from November 9th to the 21st, in the same provincial capital and the municipality of Jatibonico.

The seven teams scheduled for Granma, Cienfuegos, Pinar del Rio, Sancti Spiritus, Holguin, Matanzas and Isle of Youth are kept for this phase.

Subsequent games will return on November 27th and December 4th, between the first two of that contest against Santiago de Cuba and Havana squads, for access by the two winners to the end of the 96th National Championship.
