Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas Visits China

HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 25 (acn) The Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, began on Saturday an official visit to China.
During his stay in China, Cabrisas will meet with important local authorities and he will participate in celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Cuba-China bilateral relations.
Prensa Latin reports that the Cuban VP is in Shanghai for the first part of his visit. Upon his arrival there, he met with the Mayor of this city, Han Zheng.
He will also participate in a ceremony at the Cuba pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
On Monday, Cabrisas will be in Beijing to meet with authorities of the central government and to attend the official event to mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
On September 28, 1960, Cuba became the first Latin American and Caribbean country to establish diplomatic relations with the new China.
