National Hotel Recognized on World Tourism Day

2010.09.28 - 14:45:27 / [email protected]. HAVANA, Cuba.- The National Hotel of Cuba was awarded the commemorative stamp of the 6oth anniversary of the Cuban Association of the United Nations on Monday, the World Day of Tourism.
Carlos Amat, president of the organization, highlighted the merits of the facility recognized as a National Landmark and a flagship of the Cuban hotel industry.
Amat noted that the staff of the hotel has worked hard to win the distinction offering excellent service and making sure that quality stands as the slogan of the facility.
At the end of the ceremony, a postcard dedicated to the celebration of the World Day of Tourism held September 27 was cancelled with a slogan reading “Tourism and Biologic Diversity.”
The National Hotel was recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Memoir. It was also declared World Heritage by the international body and it has been chosen in several surveys as one of the most favorite places to tourists around the world.
