Cuba will always be able to count on African peoples' gratitude and support, Bingu wa Mutharika said, who is also President of the African Union, during his first official visit to Havana, where he will meet President Raul Castro.

As part of his agenda, Malawian President laid on Wednesday a wreath on the Pantheon of the Internationalists Fallen for the Independence of other Peoples in Colon Cemetery accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Marcos Rodriguez.

After he arrives Tuesday to international airport Jose Marti, President Mutharika condemned the U.S. blockade against the Caribbean country for more than 50 years.

The Malawian delegation is made up of Eta E. Banda, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sidik Mia, Minister of Transportation and Public Infrastructure, and Peter Mwanza, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

He is also accompanied by David Mphande, Minister of Health, Lucious Kanyumba, Minister for Youth Development and Sports, Ken Lipenga, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife, and Eunice Kazembe, Minister of Industry and Trade.
