Van Van Orchestra Closes Festival in Mexico

11/09/2010. A vibrant and unmistakable sound by Cuban salsa music band Van Van closed the 38th Cervatine Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico, central region of this Central American country.
The so-called "Feast of the Spirit" was closed by this famous salsa band led by Juan Formell.
The 38th Cervantine Festival was dedicated to Argentina, Chile and Colombia this year, and Van Van made more than 7,500 people dance at their show at Explanada de la Albondiga, also singing at the rhythm of songs like "Corazón", "El Montuno", "La Rumba No" y "Aquí se Enciende la Candela".
The festival started on October 13, in different forums of Guanajuato, offering 166 shows, 234 fine arts exhibits and 199 cultural activities of all kinds.
A total of 3,195 artists from 30 countries took part in this edition, which will be celebrated again from October 12 to 30, 2011, with guests of honor such as Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Companaies such as Meno Fortas Theatre (Lithuania), Cloud Gate Dance Theatre (Taiwan) and Teatro Sunil, led by Italian Daniele Finzi, took part in this edition, too.
