Young Cuban All Stars Group Shines in India

Artists of Young Cuban All Stars are young, virtuous and Cubans, that''s why that name suits that group very well. That Cuban group is presenting in India with great success.

Ernesto Vega, clarinetist, saxophonist and director of the group said they are not a salsa band.The band is also formed by pianist Alejandro Falcon, bassist Gaston Gem, drummer Michael Olivera and singer Luna Manzanares.

Their varied repertoire includes representative works of the Cuban music such as Drume Negrita, boleros and son songs, as well as international repertoire, played in a tone that reveals the jazz formation of the musicians.

According to Vega they are very happy with the warm welcome of the Indian audience.The members of the band had previous experience with well known Cuban bands. Drummer Olivera played for Sintesis, Joya played with Hernan Lopez-Nusa and Falcon with Maracas.

Singer Luna Manzanarez has sung in projects of Pablo Milanes family.Young Cuban All Stars group, created from a contract signed between the Cuban Institute of Music and an Indian businessman, will be presenting in several night clubs in New Delhi until December.
