12/07/2010. Young US actress Julia Stiles enjoys here the 32nd Film Festival in Havana, where she arrived last Sunday maybe with the aim of going unnoticed, though without achieving it.
Famous because of the role as Nicky Parsons in trilogy The Bourne Supremacy, she walked around the lobby of the Hotel Nacional, one of the main venues of this exhibition-event, which brings together filmmakers from over 20 countries and talked in Spanish with members of the organising committee.
Leading actress in series “Drexter”, she’s one of the more than ten representatives from US film industry who are participating in Havana’s festival; among them, female director Kathryn Bigelow and scriptwriter Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker), musician Robert Kraft, chairman at Fox Music, and producers Ted y Vanessa Hope.
Born in NY, she started her career as a model and debuted on the screen at the age of 15 with “I love you, I love you not”. Since then, she’s been directed by filmmakers such as Gil Junger (10 things I hate about you), Mike Newell (Mona Lisa Smile) and Stuart Gordon (Edmond).
Although her strong point are action roles and romantic comedies, she’s also tried her luck as short film director and scriptwriter with Raven.
