A total of 250,000 tourists are traveling to Cuba each year as an average, by means of the excursions offered by Cuban agency Cubanacan Viajes to go to a destination called Jardines del Rey, northern shore of the Cuban central region.
One of the mostly received modalities is the one called Ciego Especial, a ride by the center of the city of Ciego de Avila, 74.5 miles away from Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, the main resort's small islands.
The tour includes visits to a cigar factory and historical and cultural places.
Lesner Molina, director of Cubanacan Viajes, told Prensa Latina that visitors show especial interest on the history and Cuban traditions in their visit to the local Deco Art Museum, supplied with very valuable pieces from the 19th and 20th Centuries.
The gallery showing the work of gold and silver work group PAUYET with forks, spoons or knives turned into very valuable and beautiful jewels, and the boulevard, are quite attractive.
A restaurant called Don Avila is one of the most preferred by foreign tourists, with an elegant and refined service.
Another area calling the attention is the new park, close to an artificial lake, surrounding by trees and royal palms.
Cubanacan Viajes also offers sea and air excursions including visits to other provinces.
