Argentina Reports 93 Dengue Cases

Por marta sanchez.Buenos Aires, Mar 20 (Prensa Latina) Only 93 dengue cases have been reported so far this year in Argentina, the Health Ministry said in a press release.
The majority of the 73 cases were reported in Romang, in Santa Fe province, where the virus was detected and the DEN 1 type identified, according to health authorities.
The other cases were registered in Buenos Aires (4), Chaco (1), Mendoza (1), and Salta (8).
As of this date, a total of 1,037 people with fever have been reported in 19 provinces, the release added.
In recent statements to press, Health Minister Juan Manzur noted that Argentina had 30,000 dengue cases in 2009 Argentina, while in 2010 the figure was below 1,500.
