By: Dayami Interián García. Havana, Apr 27 (Prensa Latina) Mexico as the guest country and Havana as the star venue are the focus points of Cuba''s 31st International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2011, attractive to many experts worldwide.
The fair takes place May 2-7 in the Morro-Cabaña Park in Havana.
FITCuba, the country's main tourism showcase, will be host to many international delegations, chiefly experts interested in multi-destination and sun/beach offers.
Diversified offers, historical/cultural trips, nature, and events/conventions are the modalities that have been most attractive at the Havana fair in recent years.
This year, the event will begin with reports by Cuban Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero, and a presentation by the World Tourism Organization's regional representative for the Americas, Carlos Vogeler, it was announced.
In addition, Mexican Tourism Secretary Gloria Guevara will give a presentation on "10 Routes of Mexico."
Cuba welcomes more than two million foreign tourists annually, and hopes to receive 2.7 million this year.
